ODE TO PLATH

To the girl in a bar

who’s reason for survival is

your words,

and to the man discussing it with

her also at the bar but for a different reason.

To the misunderstood and always ignored

for whom mirrors bring comfort and peace

where once was a terrible fish.

For the things which you wrote in hours of

silently suffering madness, there is peace in your

rest

for those words are release over, and over, and over again.
